Using a variety of online resources including videos, games, and reference materials to gather information, this new activity is designed to engage and challenge students from middle school through college. Using a combination of guided research, individual tasks, and group collaboration this webquest stimulates critical thinking about how to prepare for disasters and increase resilience in communities.
Just as the discovery of the great canyons of the western United States fostered the drive to explore, protect and care about these treasures, the 2016 NAKFI Conference Discovering the Deep Blue Sea will engage scientists, engineers and medical researchers – working with artists and designers to explore exciting questions.
