Add your voice to the process of global ecological governance and build awareness about the variety of ways we can solve problems associated with biodiversity loss. Approximately one hundred citizens at each participating site will attend day-long gatherings or discussions to learn about biodiversity issues, make up their minds about them, and express their views. The meetings will start at dawn in the Pacific and continue until dusk in the Americas. Standardized educational and deliberative protocols will be implemented at each site in order to make citizen input comparable and useful for policymakers making decisions concerning the preservation and restoration of biological diversity at the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 11) in India in October 2012.

The global event is coordinated by the Danish Board of Technology (DBT) in collaboration with the Danish Environment Ministry and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.

The World Wide Views Washington DC alliance has been formed through partnerships between the Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes (CSPO) at Arizona State University, Department of Science and Technology in Society (STS) at Virginia Tech, National Capitol Region and the Koshland Science Museum.

An application is required to attend this program. Please contact the Koshland Science Museum at (202) 334-1201 or with any questions.
