Join the National Academies' Science and Technology for Sustainability Program on Wednesday, June 11, for an event featuring the Portuguese Minister of the Environment, Spatial Planning, and Energy, Jorge Moreira de Silva, who will discuss "green growth" strategies in the context of the Portuguese economy. The Minister will be accompanied by a panel of senior leaders in Portuguese industry, who will elaborate on some of their efforts in this arena. EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe will also participate and provide remarks.
NELS is a seminar series geared towards early-career professionals who are interested in building bridges with peers in DC-area agencies and organizations. NELS includes leaders with diverse backgrounds and expertise, from natural resource management to energy policy to public health, who share a common interest in taking a multidisciplinary approach to sustainability challenges. Through NELS, these emerging leaders foster relationships that enable them to more effectively bring about a sustainable future.
